Festival Park PizzaExpress
Basildon, Essex

Creed have been working hard with the team at PizzaExpress to bring a unique and dynamic venue to Festival Park in Basildon.

The external facade of the building has been completely remodelled to incorporate a new timber canopy – supported by angled steel posts. New full-height glazing allows views through, and out of, the restaurant. Customers enter into the space via a beech-panelled and colourfully lit corridor – with backlit acrylic panels either side of a gently sloping approach.

Warm vertical beech panelling links the restaurant spaces, with timber lighting rafts, pendant lighting and bespoke artworks punctuating the spaces.

Drawing on themes relating to the creation of Basildon in the early 1950s, Creed have created several graphical artworks – including bespoke wallpaper fitted over an area of curved banquette seating.

Unique large format artworks signify the toilets – with multiple layers of precision-cut plywood creating images of some of Basildon’s most famous musical residents.

The restaurant has traded above expectations, with queues out of the door since it was revealed to the people of Basildon!

Creed have moved back home!
The Old Bank, Enderby

Creed Design have finally moved home – almost exactly 12 months after our building was struck by lightning. Severe damage by lightning, fire and water has resulted in a full and comprehensive renovation of the entire building.

April 2009

With a few well-deserved glasses of wine, we had our opening night to celebrate the reinstatement of the building back to its former glory.

We would like to thank everyone involved for all the support, hard work and dedication over the past year, which has helped us to restore our studio.
