Stunning New Pizza Express in Gloucester!
Gloucester Quays

The Brief
The regeneration of the historic quayside area of Gloucester is the context for the new PizzaExpress.

The challenge was to provide a dramatic, yet intimate space that complemented the brand and delighted diners.

The Solution
The vast double height space was arranged to provide a range of seating types for all customers, and ensure the kitchen remains at the core of the restaurant

Stylised forms based on reflections and refractions of water are used throughout to articulate the space. Bubble shaped rafts house lighting and, with reclaimed timber panelling on the walls, provide an acoustically neutral space that can accommodate a busy party alongside more intimate dining.

The Result
A dynamic environment that is a strong addition to the portfolio, and extends the design language of Pizza Express restaurants.

Breaking News! Creed Studios Update
Drying out in Enderby

As the end of 2009 approaches, the contract is moving on with the rebuild of the Creed office building. Hopefully the scaffolding will be fully removed before Christmas.

The roof has now been completed - protecting the building from further weather, and allowing the drying-out process to get underway. The new floor joists have also been installed and over-boarded, and the new timber double-glazed windows have now been fitted throughout.

The first-fix plumbing and electrics are in-hand and the office spaces are taking shape once more, with staircases being fitted and stud walls completed.

2009 has undoubtedly been a testing time for the Creed team, but we are looking forward to the new challenges the new year will bring, and of course moving back into the Old Bank!
