Pizza Express Leicester
King Street
The Thinking
Creed were briefed to bring this existing outlet of Pizza Express up to date, adding much-needed visual interest and widening its appeal.
The Design
Access to the restaurant has been fully overhauled, with increased views through courtesy of oversized oak-framed glass doors. A new Accessible WC and baby change is cleverly incorporated into the lobby area, broadening the appeal. Creed produced bespoke fretwork panelling, inspired by local design hero, Ernest Gimson, with refreshed signage and a newly decorated facade overhauling the street presence. The main dining spaces were updated with new internally-lit wine libraries, and new solid timber furniture. The main space includes a large acoustic artwork – derived from a commissioned painting by local artist, Tim Fowler. The painting depicts the ‘Bowstring Bridge’ – a local landmark which is soon to be demolished amidst much controversy.
A short run of soft-seating aids the acoustic treatment of the space – creating a more-intimate and relaxed dining experience. More local artwork from print artist, Pete Clayton compliments the scheme upstairs.
The Result!
The feedback from new and regular customers has been very positive since the restaurant reopened. Happy customers make a happy client!
Revitalised Pizza Express in Sheffield
Devonshire Street : Sheffield S3
The Thinking
This existing outlet called for fresh design and much-needed maintenance to reinstate its presence in Sheffield.

The Design
Restoration works to the windows and building facade were coupled with new signage and fresh white window blinds. The main dining space was refreshed with a new colour scheme, complimented with warm solid oak panelling.
Bespoke high solid oak tables, an upholstered banquette and new wenge-stained timber chairs add new seating possibilities. Contemporary images of Sheffield cover the walls – with two oversized panels depicting the city as ‘mini planets’.

The existing bars were replaced with new more open-plan serving areas, creating visual interest and improved service access for the staff. Bespoke lighting fixtures add dynamic shape and form. This is coupled with the higher seating to create intriguing views from the street.

The Result!
The restaurant is a more inviting and dynamic space – with more colour, visual appeal and vibrancy – up and ready to trade in the run-up to Christmas.

Creed Studios Update
The Old Bank : Enderby
Progress is stepping up on site as the contract gets underway. A specialist truss manufacturer has now supplied and installed the single piece douglas fir trusses and the over boarding is nearly complete.

The unstable gables have been dismantled and re-built up to the original height-including the chimney. The stonework in the front gable has been re-created and is being sequentially installed. The stonemasons look to have done a good job.

A temporary roof has now been placed over the whole site, and the walls are finally starting to dry out.
Elsewhere we continue to work on projects for new and existing clients and are looking forward to completing two new Pizza Express units within the next few weeks - details to follow soon.
